Pretty easy therefore, to lose yourself in the thought that freeways are like blood vessels and cars are blood cells. Thoughts like that can make you forget the real nature of what’s going on: closing yourself up in a metal container that speeds over an endless strip of crushed and flattened rock at a relative velocity far higher than one little bag of flesh and bones can take. It’s still funny, however, because you could almost swear the road is what’s moving, and everyone around you might as well be going through the car wash.

The people around you aren’t going much faster than if they were pulling out of their driveways, compared to you. If they want to move around you so they can get home in time for WWF Raw, let them. They’re the creek. They can deal with you being right where you are. If you’re the only thing in sight that doesn’t have a trailer, don’t worry about it. Keep right on being that rock.
